Fresno, CA – A motorcycle and music festival, “Thunder in the Park”, was announced Friday, October 5, 2007, at the Regional HOG conference at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Fresno.

 

Thunder in the Park will take place at Historic Kearney Park on July 25-27, 2008. Motorcycle enthusiasts will be invited to register for this three day festival in this first annual gathering of bikers expected to come from Fresno, the West Coast, and across the country.

 

This family-friendly motorcycle rally has been formalized for the first time to give Central Valley motorcyclists a local opportunity to showcase their bikes, socialize in a park setting, and enjoy the weekend together in a festival atmosphere with other bikers from around the area.

 

“We are very excited about this first-time Thunder in the Park”, said John Carbray, President of Projects West Entertainment, the producer of the event. “The huge number of motorcycle owners in the central valley really deserve to have a festival on a local and annual basis and we hope to put on a great show for everyone who participates”.

 

Attractions to be included in the Thunder event will be live music on stage, food and apparel vendors, biker shows, fireworks, and a kids play area. 

 

The event will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County. The Boys & Girls Clubs have 15 locations and serve over 12,000 youth in the most disadvantaged areas of Fresno County.
