Historic Kearney Park

Fresno, California

Kearney Park, Fresno County’s first park, encompasses 240 acres seven miles west of Fresno, with the park entrance on Kearney Boulevard.  The park offers tennis courts, soccer fields, horseshoe pits, two softball fields, and four playground areas, set amid wide lawns under towering palms.

Central to Kearney Park is the Kearney Mansion, now a historical museum offering hosted tours.  The Mansion was home to one of California’s premier agribusiness pioneers, M. Theo Kearney...

Kearney Park is the ideal venue for an event such as "Thunder in the Park".  With its wide lawns, plentiful shade, the Mansion as a beautiful backdrop and easy-to-ride paved roads encircling and crossing the park grounds makes every visit quite an experience.
